From April 20 to May 30, 2026, six women supported by the D\u00e9do center took part in vocational training designed to strengthen their skills and support their economic independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over several weeks, they followed hands-on training in two fields: three women trained in fashion design, three others in shoemaking, with three training afternoons per week. Beyond gaining technical skills, the training also helped them develop the tools needed to launch and sustain a business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of their training, participants received additional coaching in marketing and sales techniques, led by the president of the Michelle Deguenon Foundation. This guidance gave them further tools to showcase their work, find customers, and better manage their future business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the closing ceremony, each participant received a training certificate along with a professional kit to help them continue learning and put their new skills into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future fashion designers received materials including fabric, measuring tools, scissors, thread, needles, and an iron. The future shoemakers received the tools and raw materials needed for their craft, such as leather, glue, and cutting tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project was made possible with the support of Rotary E-Club Concordia, the Michelle Deguenon Foundation, and the ESDAM school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
