For nearly two years now, the D\u00e9do center has been home to an agroecological farm, which has become a genuine space for learning and knowledge-sharing among the women supported by the association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond food production, the farm gives women a place to reconnect with nature, discover new growing techniques, and build skills they can use in everyday life. It also supports the association's economic independence by supplying the centers with fresh produce and by selling some of what's grown to help fund its activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the positive impact of this initiative, the association wanted to extend it to other locations. A first vegetable garden has now taken root at the Suru Lere center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help get it started, Max, who runs the agroecological farm at D\u00e9do, came to share his expertise with the women at the center. In their first hands-on session, they learned the basics of planting by putting in the first basil seedlings. These initial crops will gradually be joined by other varieties to build a genuine production space at the center.
